Exploring Anchor Point, AK

We took a drive today to visit the beach again and explore the area.  We went to the village of Nikolaevsk where there is a Russian Orthodox community.  On our way back we had a moose on the side of the road that crossed in front of us while we stopped to take pictures.

We drove out to the end of Anchor Point and got a picture of the jeep at the sign at the end of the road.


No fancy fireworks display as it barely gets dark here but we've heard them going off around us last night and today, July 4th.  We're hanging out here at the Majestic AIR RV park, leaving on the 6th to head back toward Anchorage and then on to Valdez on the other side of the Kenai peninsula.
